Vryko’s eyes flicked back and forth between the man who called himself Kublai and her mother, not even noticing his brother Asmodeus’s presence join the group. Her mother reacted quickly, the flames on her bodice growing in anger. “Everyone shut up! Shut up! Go tell Beartooth and Wendigo that as I never agreed, no! As for you, Vryko, you cannot go. Tarben is no place for my children and it will never be! So stop, stop stop stop telling me what I need to do! It’s not happening. Go to h e l l! No one is taking my child anywhere!” Little Vryko backpedaled slightly, her amber eyes beginning to tear up at her mother’s words. She was put slightly to ease by her brother who had stepped somewhat in front of her, but her eyes remained on Athena as she outburst. Her next words were started out softer, until the end in which was followed by a snarl. ”“Tell me I can’t. Tell me I can’t keep them. They’re safe here. Why shouldn’t they be? After all, there are no womanizers to prey on Vryko or corrupt Asmodeus. No “Danes” to bother Sindri!” The brown brindled white lass’s eyes were well filled with tears at this point, but she remained quiet. However, her body began to shake slightly as she had begun to fear her mother who had let the fire consume her anger. Her eyes looked to Kublai, who spoke then, his words much calmer than her mother’s. Calm enough that the fleeting thought crossed Vryko’s mind to just leave with this gentleman. "You cannot. These children were made by you - And Wendigo. Denying him and these children the right to meet is wrong, and being his and King Beartooths demand it will likely mean refusal will lose your alliance to Tarben - Or spark another war. You wouldn't want to go to war with a pack that outnumbers you more than twice, would you? Or leave these children and your friends gravely threatened by the numerous larger packs throughout Starfall? Your children wish to see their father, denying that will likely sever your relationship with them later down the road as well. Your greed should not be placed above your children and your packs needs." Vryko looked again to her mother, however, if her flames were still ravaging along her spine, her gaze slowly traveled to Asmodeus, and then back to Kublai. Fire now had a different meaning in her mind, one tainted with anger and rage, such as when fire may catch in a forest. Vryko would keep away from the Ashen Woodlands for the rest of her life, and potentially may even avoid her brother if his flames were alight. Her amber eyes were still wet with tears, however, they stopped running as almost a filter was put over the brindled girl’s eyes – one of numbness as she imagined herself spending time with her father…whatever he might look like. It was escapism at it’s finest. It would very well take something to spook her out of it at this point. Actions &"Words"
locked far away from her unknown father Vryko
