The little brown brindled lass felt the fear grow…and grow…and grow…as her mother grew angrier and angrier, letting it out onto the peacock male standing in front of her, just outside the borders. “Like hell you are taking my children away from me. What they need is a mother who loves them, not a father who just wants to mold his offspring into perfect little Danes! Get out of my lands, peacock. Get out and never come back. Do you think I’m going to honor a deal that was never sealed in the first place? They’ll thank me, one day. They will look back and be glad they never met their vile vampire father. Get out before I burn you alive!” Her flames grew higher, much higher than what was considered safe. The male with peacock feathers seemed unfazed, his reactions much less dramatic than Athena’s, however, his words much more taunting. "The only thing they will thank you for is that they will not know what it's like to become you, Queen Athena. Your children will grow up never knowing half of what they are. But what they will know is how you've gone completely mad, mad enough . . . Mad enough to threaten an ally, and one who is in fact not on your land. I've made a very good mind to steer clear of marked borders." Vryko was genuinely scared, and still found herself wanting to go with Kublai. It was not long until her mother spoke once again. ”F u c k off peacock, go back to your Dane king and his obedient pawn of a queen! GO!” This caused Vryko to yelp and tumble backwards over her own backpedaling feet. She laid flat on her stomach as the peacock spoke his last words, the first half directed at them, in which Vryko’s amber eyes widened, ears perked, and head lifted as he spoke. ”Should you children wish to see your father, Tarben is just beyond the Ice Caps. Your father’s name is Wendigo, he is a Delta, a warrior, a fighter. As for you, Athena…” Vryko began to rehearse those details into her head – her father’s name, Wendigo. Where he was, just past the Ice Caps in Tarben. His rank and duties, a delta, a warrior for the pack. The idea of him sounded wonderful – she wanted to grow to be like him. A warrior. While she was busy rehearsing this in her head, Kublai had said more things to their mother, which the little girl did not pay attention to. Wendigo, Tarben, Ice Caps, Delta. Those four words replayed in her head as she rose to her feet to watch Kublai walk away. She then turned her attention to her mother, her amber eyes showing fear at her flame encased body. But Vryko stood strong, or attempted to, to what was about to come from her mother. Actions &"Words"
locked far away from her unknown father Vryko
