Remus raced to Artemis, his heart pounding. She had called for him.
Why didn’t they share a den? he wondered as she came into his view. They were mates, and fellow betas now. Daneliya had bombed him with congratulations. She also seemed to really like Artemis, so for that Remus was grateful.
“Artemis,” he called breathlessly. “You called me?” He still couldn’t believe how beautiful she was, with her teal eyes and snowy pelt, and he was lucky enough to be mated to such a kind, helpful woman.
She didn’t look like she was in pain. She looked a little bit nervous, so he guessed she was going to ask him about something.
“I was just thinking,” he told her, as he slowed to a walk. “What do you think about sharing a den? We’re mates, so it makes sense if we do.”
