Breathing Your Last Breath
The ghost like woman didn't have to sit and dwell on her thoughts long, as Remus seemingly raced to her. “Artemis, You called me?” She smiled at him as he prioritized her so deeply, even being out of breath from sprinting to her call. “I was just thinking, What do you think about sharing a den? We’re mates, so it makes sense if we do.” Her smile only widened as she gave a gentle laugh. "That was something I had wished to talk with you about, Remus." She said softly, sitting gently on the ground.
"That does make sense, and it is something I wish for us. Please forgive me, it's been some time since I've had anyone to share a den with - My children were the last to have stayed with me." She looked to the ground briefly, her smile dulling for a moment before she lifted her head once more to look at him. "That brings another question to mind - Remus, would you ever want to have children with me?" Her voice grew to be just above a whisper as she attempted to meet his gaze.
"It's weighed on me heavily, I miss being a mother. I miss having little ones to look after and care for - And more than anything I want a family. I want us to be a family." She said, a smile crossing her lips as she began to overflow with words and reasons to give him. "I figured since you were already used to being around children, you know the ropes. You'd make an amazing father." She said softly. "I don't wish to be just the mother of ghosts. Nothing will replace the ones I have lost, but I wish to be able to touch my children again. To play with them, teach them." As she realized she was going on and on she took a deep breath. "What do you think, Remus?"
