Back when medical treatments were basic, it could kind of work. But...
...now that medical advancements have resulted in medical treatments that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars...I don't know how you handle that. For example, just picking a procedure, I have no idea how much a bone marrow transplant costs. Sounds expensive. If some guy who CAN work but chooses not.... No, make it someone who just chooses not to have health insurance. That guy comes into a Hospital, and they check him out, and he needs a $100,000 bone marrow transplant. Do they say "Sorry"? Or do they give it to him for free? That's the whole "Death Panel" discussion that was all the rage a few years ago. I was always FOR the "Death Panels" for this exact reason. The taxpayers just cannot be required to provide these new super-expensive treatments for free.
