Having seen it all....living in a small town...but having grown up in a burgeoning Southern California town...I decided that a small town is a microcosm of the city, as you live among the welfare citizens and if you run a general store...you see how it all works....

I always thought that those that get food stamps should have to have passed a class in nutrition and money management....LOL...as many of those on welfare flunk on that merit.....

I also, sewed most of my clothes, and many of our daughters clothes...for me it was that I was taller than the average woman..and at that time in history they didn't make clothes for tall women....LOL BUT, I was told a welfare recipient that refused to sew....that rich people (we had a store...LOL) don't have to sew, so she didn't have to sew either.....sad, sad, sad!!

This city girl made her daughters give up their Christmas dolls to a welfare family.....and I was astonished when the welfare family moved to another house ....they had left those dolls dirty and stuck in the mud of their driveway......
