Science creeps ever closer to something of a universal understanding, except for every question answered, ten more appear for which no answers are yet satisfactory. How far does that go? Is it the mathematically infinite it appears? I believe there is God, and Jesus came specifically to set a record straight, about how "humanity" screwed up our relationship with God. Call it our relationship with the universe if you want to make it scientific, and benevolent toward people. Love God with all your heart. If that is the universe, or you call it the universe, by all means love that. I do. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. In other words be kind. Do no harm. Your neighbor might be the person next door, or a mile away, or might be a tree, or an animal. The cosmos begins infinitely deep within us, and extends infinitely into space. Eternal life is another word for the agreement physicists reached, Susskind, Hawking et al, that information is never lost. Specialists are able to read certain records of climate or celestial events etched in atoms from billions of years before earth formed, in the minerals of terrestrial geologic history, in the prehistoric layers of deep glacial ice, and annual rings of ancient trees. None of that information was lost. We had to develop a way to read it, and now that we can, we have greater understanding than ever. That is my "Christian" view. It may not work for an Observer Just Asking or a Scott hiding behind, or casting a Shadow.
