What you see in that congregation is an all time low. A week ago there were more than twice that, and two weeks ago twice that.

I am planning my exit, when and how. The when is soon and how will be quietly.

Start a new church? Too old and lack the energy. Attend another church? Not for a while.

The local TSA including Denver bear a few black eyes that impacted the organization and church.

We had a pastor here before the one for whom I served, who was arrested, charged and convicted of sexual abuse of a minor. Don't know if he's still in prison, and I don't care. That's when I stopped going before. This gun toting fool also came to church armed, and armed to corps bowling. Once he brought a case of handguns to show them off, at the bowling alley! He grew MAGA and the church dramatically shrank.

There was another pianist who played for his successor. I began to attend again and when the pianist moved, the new pastor asked if I would take her place. I agreed. We got along just fine. He is the one who was just replaced by hothead and his wife Anna Wilkes (Cathy Bates in Misery)

TSA had a major screw up two years ago with the Angel Tree program. People take an angel from a tree in the mall, then shop for the gift the child asked for. TSA gives the gifts to the children before Christmas. It is so "every child" gets a Christmas gift. The gifts were not properly recorded or tracked and no children got what they were supposed to. Many children got nothing.

TSA took over the Denver mission, and during their management a murder and three rapes occurred at the mission. TSA blamed Denver, it's mayor and Gov. Polis. Denver withdrew their contract and resumed control. Since, things calmed down.

I believe in the mission of TSA. Heart to God hand to man. But there are bad people in the organization and instead of being gotten rid of, they just get moved around.

I hoped to help this one little piece. But with the recent shuffle of corps officers, that appears doomed. Their embrace of the felon is stark proof they need a serious reset. Frankly I am not sure they will survive or should.
