Over and over, I saw leaders rebuking people for things that were ridiculous (or that they themselves were doing). One time I had the audacity to dance at a wedding.

Your values, your sense of honor and goodness, the beauty of everything that makes Pike, Pike is being insulted by that church.

Does going there still stir your soul? I suspect it stirs disappointment and a little anger.

I want to throw ideas out to you.

1. Can you start a home-study group that includes musicians?

2. What other churches are near you? You could do a sampling and see if any resonate better.

3. Play your music to the woodlands. After all, the groves were God's first temple (this sentiment comes from my childhood when, indeed, the nearby forest was my refuge.

4. I agree with the spiritual retreat idea. You have an idyllic setting
