The roads didn't seem that bad here either, yet a bus ended up in an accident* Archived Message

Previous Message when any day can just casually be punted as “e-learning” instead of having to be made up later, it’s too easy for school districts to give up and go that route. The roads are not that bad today; this isn’t a full-on ice storm like it was downstate, and yet they closed anyways. We have salt trucks and plows for a reason. Previous Message that would imply that they're closing every time its raining or snowing or just cold, which we all know isn't happening. schools close because of some other, more severe circumstance. temperatures below zero, heavy snow or freezing rain that might create unsafe driving conditions, etc. debates can be made about whether cancelling school or attempting elearning should be done in these circumstances, but let's not go act like they're cancelling school just because it's not 75 and sunny
