I believe Indiana limited the number of eLearning days you can have a year. I think that's probably the right approach. So you still have 180 days of instruction, but not all days are created equal, and the eLearning days up to a point count. Because at the end of the day, eLearning and Cancelled school has the same net effect on the parent. They still have to stay home from work. Believe it or not, eLearning is actually more work on the teachers. Lesson plans are not created minutes before a school day. So whatever was planned for the day that was cancelled, has to get reworked for eLearning... and then you know you're going to have to smush that content into another day for retention.
