100%. Competitive dance and cheer is awful in every single way. There's legitimately no benefit* Archived Message

Previous Message for their daughters' competitive dance and cheer circuit. Diglet#1s teams hit up some awesome tourneys over the years - Vegas, St Lou, Indy, Memphis. Loved spending the time together with him and other families. But these dance/cheer things. Woof. Higher cost, higher stress - they've been practicing putting false eyelashes on the girls (Jr. High), multiple outfits at $200 pop for 1 weekend, Special luggage to carry said outfits, Cattiness galore. Give me soccer all day, every day. Previous Message Apparently it's "stay to play", so the team has to have at least 8 rooms booked from the official tournament hotel block. There's more than 8 families and the tournament hotel is both not cheap AND far away from the tournament site. RIP the team manager parent's text inbox, she's already hearing from people that dont want to use the official hotel. Also, only 3 kids from the B team were invited to attend, despite more than 3 occasionally subbing with A team.
