Everything he's doing regarding foreign policy and tariffs/economic intervention are so far removed from mainstream pre-Trump Republicanism. And as much as they all go along with him now out of cowardice and fear, I think the pull back to (Republican) normalcy will still be there when he's gone. You can tell guys like Rubio and Graham and others are going nuts watching how Trump is handling Ukraine. I can't imagine they would continue down this path there or in the EU or elsewhere if they weren't afraid of his ire. And it's not like his supporters care, really. I think post-Trump Republicans could occupy their base with culture war B.S. as a cover to reverse some Trump foreign policy.
I also think the battle to follow Trump will be monstrous and (if Trump doesn't try to steal 2028) will force a primary season and election because there's no way any of these people will coalesce behind Vance. They're all going to want the job and they'll need an election to have a chance to get it.
