Well don't fall for these organizations that do mandatory fundraisers, and do not tell you or actually show you where that money goes. Lessons are your option, and do cost a lot... just don't fall for these owners that "sell" equipment and are telling your players they need a new bat, glove, whatever... I actually know there are guys out there, in their garages plotting ways to profit from this sport.... in these cases it is not "all about the girl's." It's shameful-- buyer beware.
