Situated at the edge of Kingswood Forest, The Stone Dragon tavern is on the border of the King's control. Consequently, it is a hotspot for outlaws and law-abiding citizens alike. A number of secret rooms, doors and passages enable outlaws to hide or make a quick getaway whenever the King's men come swooping in. As there is also an inn here, this is also a popular place for temporary travellers and explorers.

Cypress was a zombie at Danny's side, shuffling along with most of her weight resting on him and her gaze always seeking, searching, and settling only when it landed on Thoth's wolf form. She said nothing, her jaw clenched as she limped along. Exhaustion and pain had carved unfamiliar lines on her face, and Danny was relieved when Thoth picked up enough to press against her now and then. Thoth wasn't inclined to switch back to his fairy form - understandable, under the circumstances - so they moved in silence, only Cy's ragged breathing and the occasional crack or scrape of a branch to break the relatively quiet forest hush.
At last they reached the camp. Danny reviewed as many of those gathered as he could, making mental notes of supplies needed and medical care, but his focus was still firmly with Cypress as they made their way around the camp and to Thoth's tent.
"Down you go," Danny said to Cypress, helping her ease down into a sitting position atop Thoth's sleeping bag. Danny nodded at Thoth's comment, frowning a moment in thought. "I've got some supplies; it's not much, just what I could grab in the moment." He ruffled around in his pack, pulling out a few supplies and handing them over to Thoth. "Take these for wherever you put your medical supplies and bring a blanket, if you can find one. I'll try to send with more supplies via Sol later - if I can convince him to come this far."
Danny rolled his eyes. His familiar was quite literally a scaredy-cat and was convinced the current king would wear his fur like a coat if he stepped out of line; Mordred was a murderer, and certainly did not deserve the throne, but Danny wasn't wholly sold on the idea of him being necessarily "evil". Not that he'd dare say as much in the camp, or to Thoth.
"Is it okay to examine you while Thoth does that?" he asked, his tone deliberately softer. Cypress compressed her lips into a tight line and nodded. She didn't want Thoth to go, even for the few minutes, but it was better here, away from the castle. If it weren't for the pains in her body, and her ripped clothing, she might be able to pretend it was just an ordinary visit.
Danny quickly examined her, getting a better look at her arm and other injuries. When Thoth returned, he fashioned a quick sling for her and set his magic in motion. The more minor wounds were closed smoothly, but others would take time. When he was done with Cypress he helped her lay down on Thoth's roll, her head on his hoodie, and turned his attentions to Thoth. Another bit of magic laid heavily over his wrist - healing and pain relief both - and Danny sat back.
"I'm going to go check on a few of the others now," he said, giving Thoth a pointed look. And then, because it was Thoth, he added, "Why don't you and Cypress take a nap? She has a minor concussion but her pupils are good and she's able to hold a conversation; some sleep will do her well. I'll wake you in a bit."
He brushed off his hands and exited the tent, leaving the two alone. Cypress avoided Thoth's gaze, plucking at the edge of his blanket with her good hand. What was she supposed to say? What was she supposed to do?
