Nadia crept along the treeline, then slunk out into the open. She heard Ares' intriguing words, and her ears pricked. Nadia was interested to see how this would blow over.
She nodded to her father and Soraya. Nadia knew Soraya had it out for her mother. She wasn't sure she could protect Larentia from the wrath of a queen.
But she'd certainly try.
Nadia came up to stand beside Ares as he finished his outburst. She glanced sideways at him. What was the little fool doing, saying he was a vampire to Beartooth? Nadia knew Ares knew that Beartooth could gut him right there.
Where were Skadi and Boiko? Nadia's Siblings had to be around here somewhere. She lifted her head in anticipation of Beartooth's words to Ares.
