I think I grasp your meaning.

Over here If the video in question shows say after 5 minutes an ad/commercial for Kitty Krunch as part of the video then my ad blocker blocks it and you never see it nor any subsequent ads/commercials that may follow it and the whole video is shown ad/commercial free, however if chummy in his/her narration happens to mention Kitty Krunch is on sale at all good pet food stores then yes obviously that gets through as it is, as stated,just part of the commentary.

The blank spaces you mention can also be got rid of but requires manual scripts to do each one individually, but if the space is just blank then why bother I suppose.

From what I've read this only seems to affect those like yourself who have YouTube accounts with ad/commercial blockers being against their terms of service, whereas those of us who haven't signed up and are only users browsers call us what you will, have no problems whatsoever commercial-wise.
