Yes Freddie, if I remember correctly the Mi Amigo beached in January 1966 and was taken to Holland for repairs, the installation of the 50kW TX and the move to 259m, 1187kHz. The Mi Amigo came back on air in April or May 1966.
Did they change from 199 to 259 at the same time? - perhaps it was cause by some odd sort of intermodulation? It certainly happened.
Also the TX was much more powerful after the refit, and the frequency was far closer to Radio London's.
Something I distinctly remember, was that Caroline's audio, was always in the background on Big L's transmissions - probably caused by insufficient screening in the Galaxy's studio ? I this happened following the Mi Amigo's repairs & being fitted with it's 50kw TX. Perhaps their position was a bit closer to Big L when returning from Holland?
