Short Wave radio in the dashboard.
Our LandRover just failed MoT and so we had to buy this "SS Staff car" (a Mercedes) quickly; I was delighted to find it has SW on the radio at all! It is 'original manufacturer's equipment' in a Mercedes C Class. It tunes from 5900 to 6250 and is pretty sensitive, even by day. Will try and add a pic below. Most of my car- listening however happens via an iPhone & BlueTooth link.

I used to have a laptop on the seat, maybe ten years ago but it can be such a faff back in the 3G days. Last time I had a decent rig in a car was an ICOM IC735, an amateur radio rig which could tune from 100 cycles up to 30 megs, and transmit on many HF bands too - though below about 80M the power was down to maybe 10 watts with my very inefficient whip aerial.
