It’s actually a fun exercise that I recommend.
Oppenheimer was fantastic.
Anotomy of a fall was really good. Great performances, compelling story.
Past lives was very good as well. A little slow at times, and below the above two, but definitely good.
Barbie was fun but not an Oscar movie.
Maestro was an absolute snoozer. I actually judge the two lead performances very highly, but what a bore.
I’m really looking forward to American fiction and zone of interest, but neither are rentable on streaming yet. Not looking forward to poor things, but part of the fun is watching them all so I will.
Going to try and do the holdovers and killers of the flower moon this week.

We’re a few weeks out from the Oscars and a lot of the movies are starting to hit streaming services.
Can we just give Scorsese a lifetime achievement award and drop the act that his movies are actually good? Killers of the Flower Moon was a total turd.
On the other hand, LOVED Oppenheimer, very compelling, great acting, a “quick” 3 hours.
Barbie also very well done. Gosling for better or worse stole that movie.
