had a ticket to see Zone of Interest but when I got there they weren't showing it due to a projector issue. Got a refund and have not gotten around to going back.
Need to see:
Past Lives (in DVR queue) Zone of Interest Poor Thigs (not sure I have any interest) American Fiction
Of those seen:
1) Oppenheimer: Spectacular, even better upon 2nd viewing 2) Anatomy of a Fall: excellent acting and tension-filled. 3) The Holdovers: Alexander Payne is consistently good, and Giamatti would probably win most years but I think Cilian Murphy is a lock for Best Actor 4) Barbie: fun movie, was pleasantly surprised. Gosling stole the show. 5) Killers of the Flower Moon: Too long, but Scorcese is still great. Don't get the Lily Gladstone love, though. I though her performance was pretty wooden. 6) Maestro: Looked cool (black & white part in particular), and well-acted. But no real story.
