We never go out anymore. I just want my dogs, a backyard, and for people to leave me alone.

I’m turning 37 this year and getting married. I still love and am geared towards walkability and urban life, but is that going down? Will it continue to go down the next few years (and beyond)? Does weather matter to me more now? Does space? Does coast?
I’m definitely a bit up in the air about what I value most and what situation I’d be happiest in, both now and moving forward.

How different my wants and needs are now opposed to 20 years ADP when I first moved here.

2 votes for SF (1 of them was me, so really only 1 other) for the most urban, walkable choice on that list surprises me given the makeup of this board.
For the Chicago residents, is dense, walkable urbanism not a major reason why you live in Chicago? Is it more just a secondary nicety? Or is San Diego just too nice from a lifestyle perspective that you’d trade walkability for it. It’s an interesting topic to me as I think about what aspects of a place are most important to me.
