Previous Message I happened to attend Eureka College and played multiple sports while there. It was the #1 reason I got my first job out of college at a Fortune 500 company. It's a great talking point in interviews. Also some great skills to be learned in multi tasking, networking, etc. Employers see that you can balance a heavy academic workload along with practices and games and are impressed. Previous Message ...that has good grades and goes to a shitty school to prolong their playing days. Granted, I didn't play sports, but I remember smart college entrants from my high school class going to places like Eureka or Eastern so that they could play softball or run track. They were smart. They weren't from families that needed the money. Similarly, my wife's young cousin is headed to college at Cal State Dominguez Hills so she can continue playing soccer. She's a straight A student with high test scores and a great resume. She'd likely get into her choice of UC schools and is gonna go to fucking Dominguez Hills to continue playing soccer. What the what? Previous Message
