The Dane King and his armies waited for the enemy packs to leave with their dead before going to grab theirs, he hoisted his daughter Elden as he moved to make the pace back home faster. He didn't view this as a loss. Aethelflaed was within Hawthornes territory by now, and would likely make herself of some use to Tarben in the meantime. If not by killing any she could, then by seducing those who would take advantage of an enslaved Princess. He sighed, Balerion kept his prisoner, the Hawthorne Princess with him in the air. He didn't care to know her name yet.
When he reached the frozen lake of Tarbens meeting grounds, he set his daughter down. His dark form took to the ledge as he waited for his sons, daughters, and shield brethren to follow to their grounds. When all came, he looked to his wife. An encouraging smile splayed on his face, followed by a nuzzle to try and cheer her up, surely she would be saddened by the losses they shared today and the taking of their daughter. His eyes went to the pack gathering.
"My children, my family. Do not hang your heads low in defeat, while we may have lost this battle we did not lose our motive. My brother has been slain, and with him we have weakened Hawthorne and their allied packs greatly. As for our fallen warriors, they did not die in vain. For tonight, we celebrate their lives, and we thrive! We celebrate their lives, by creating more!" He grinned, glancing to his beloved. He looked to the cage that held Drevis and Larentia, along with the newly teenaged grandchildren from Skadi and Pontchartrain. He lowered the ice spikes, looking to Larentia who seemed entirely different. "Larentia, you, Raven, and Nadia, run. Get the hell out of my lands." He spoke, eyes narrowing. He didn't care to keep a caged woman around, not when so many were being left unclaimed. His attention went back to his pack, assuming Larentia left with Nadia and Raven.
His eyes set to each of the women, a smirk on his face before he looked back to the dead. "Elden, my daughter. Haladki, my son. Your fight is over, you died loved. You fought with honor." His eyes looked to the others. "Arvin, son of mine and Rayne. Huginn, Muninn, and Boiko, daughters, son of mine and Larentia. Kara, son of mine and Irina. Baba Yaga, mother of Wendigo. Your fight is over. You died with honor." He spoke, bowing his head. He looked to Balerion before giving the boy a nod. He lit the bodies on fire, giving them a viking death. "'Till Valhalla, my friends." He spoke. He noticed a glowing woman come through to the pack, curious. Her pelt danced with that of the spirit lights that showed in the sky. With an eyebrow raised, he smiled. She was female. "Hello, welcome to Tarben. I am King Beartooth, and this is my wife Queen Soraya. What is your name?" "Aurora." The female mumbled, seeming bothered by something.
With a tap of his paw, he raised an ice platform in front of his children and pack, a smile on his face. "Well, Aurora, you're just in time. Ladies, step up all of you who are not yet claimed." He commanded, waiting for those to comply - Including the teens. He shook his head, taking a seat. "Aurora, Rayne, Lova, Atla, Cascade, Dwyn, Eyre, Lahmer, and Drevis. Why do you not claim these women? They know our laws, all but the new lass. Must I enforce claiming?" He asked, his brows turning up. "Claim your women, even the prisoners may be claimed. Just do not hurt them, or their Queen may get upset." He smirked. He didn't expect the sudden uproar from Balerion. "The new prisoner is mine. She belongs with me." He noticed an exchange of words with Guinevere, the woman who carried his children. "If he is releasing you, then step onto the ice Guinevere. Lahmer, go to Balerion." He said. The Dane King looked to his Delta, expecting the same from him. "Drevis is mine." Was all that was said, a nod from the King as he let the rest go from there. He turned to his wife. "Do not fret for our children, my love. We will have more, it's always best to pup after a battle." He whispered in her audit.
