Shadow was frozen in fear as the battle raged on around him. flashes of previous wars paralyzed him; he heard the screams and cries from his pack mated and he whimpered. he needed to protect his pack no... his family, he growled deep in his through. he tried to move but he still couldn't, his chest was tight, and he realized on he was panicking. he closed his eyes and blocked out the noise and breathed deeply and calmed down before throwing himself into the fray. he threw himself at the tarban wolf Beartooth and sank his teeth into his neck.

shadow was suddenly thrown off of Beartooth and he hit a tree and layed there stunned. he had to get up but he couldn't seem to put Weight on his paw he stood up hiding a wince and growled at Beartooth "is that the best you got?" he asked tauntingly, he knew that taunting a wolf that could clearly easily over power him was a stupid choice but he was scared and adrenaline cursed through his system before the wolf had time to respond he launched himself at his and knocked him over and scratched him along his snout before darting back out of reach before Beartooth could slash him back. he then froze waiting for him to respond.
