After a fractured skull, broken neck and back in a terrible car accident, I had headaches for YEARS

presumably from severe post concussion syndrome. The headaches lasted for years, but finally let up slowly over time. I'm not sure that a fractured skull always results in them -- if there's no accompanying traumatic brain injury or even a severe concussion. At least not after a few days to a week.
