he's got aaron rodgers level arm talent. can drop a ball in a bucket from 65 yards or flick his wrist and have it go 45 on target. also has the touch to layer throws to different levels.
he's got great accuracy, not just to the correct player, but to the correct shoulder to maximize YAC. he does this from any platform, any body angle. stationary, on the move, doesn't matter.
he's a master improvisor. he's got an amazing sense for feeling pressure and moving through the pocket with his eyes still up looking to make a throw. a lot of the highlight plays, you'll see him bailing out to either side, but he's lethal at "climbing the pocket" without dropping his eyes and finding a receiver. he scrambles to throw vs scrambling to run as fields usually does.
he processes defenses very quickly and goes through progressions well. there are some widely circulated clips of him not finding an open read on a few plays. you can find that with literally every QB who has ever played. literally no one makes the correct read every single time. most of the time, he's going 2-3 progressions deep very quickly (as long as he has time) before trying to improvise. i don't think he's unable to play within scheme, he's just inconsistent.
he's tough as shit. his line was awful this year and he got beat to shit. he kept getting back up and making plays.
despite the persona and the ads, he reportedly is a first-guy-in-the-building type. he works his ass off and wants to be great.
his teammates tend to love him and play hard for him. he brought his offensive line to the heisman ceremony last year. i know- "we a team now!" while he didn't play, caleb was there on the sidelines celebrating with his teammates. some of the other notable players on the team were not.
