Drevis had been quiet for some time towards everyone, but Wendigo felt that he would be able to break that silence today. His heart weighed heavily with the loss of his mother, his eye had been taken out as well. He had other injuries following, all from Drevis' mother. He had stated a claim for Drevis, a pink line appearing to him as he had been on the battlefield for what he didn't know at the time. But now, he could tell it connected him to her. The Wraith waited patiently, once he was dismissed he nodded for Drevis to follow him.
His head hung low as he moved a couple of feet away from the meeting grounds. "I do not wish for you to do anything you do not wish to do with me." He spoke softly before turning to seek her gaze with his own. "I claimed you only to fulfill a promise." He gave a light chuckle to try and lighten the mood as his eyes fell to the snow. "Drevis, I've done a lot I'm not proud of for Tarben. For Beartooth. I saw my mother fall in combat, and I also saw your father and sister fall too. I am so sorry for your loss. I clashed with your mother, Beartooth had taunted her with my presence I fear. She took my eye, bit me even, understandably so. I looked her in the eye and promised her your safety afterwards, I did not fight back. I did what I could to ensure that she knew you were unscathed despite your hostage situation." He looked to her, his gruff voice looking once more to meet her gaze.
"Lucaya demanded your return to visit Hawthorne in a truce with Beartooth, with myself and your niece with you. She wishes to see you and ask if you'd like to return home or stay with us. Before we venture, I'd like to confess something though." His last sentence was shaky. "You may not speak to me much, but I cannot shake these undeniable feelings I have for you. This string does not help. I noticed it when I was in battle, and I couldn't bring myself to wound any who were of your pack. I couldn't find it in myself to hurt you in such a way, to take away your loved ones. All I could think of was how I had to make sure I made it home to see you again." His eyes had drifted to his paws, ears flattening against his head.
Walk, "Talk", Think.
"You get it too, to the fullest!"
