Military personnel strolling around the public streets do not bother me. I DO pay attention to ARMED personnel. Is Trump sending military to American cities unarmed? I don't think so.

2. Who needs the media to tell you what Trump has said when you have Trump himself?

Posted on TruthSocial by Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump:

"At the request of Security of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am direcing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention in this matter."

War ravaged Portland? War ravaged Portland??. Please show me current proof that Portland is ravaged by war.

3. JAG:

Besides prosecuting, defending, and presiding over courts-martial, military attorneys advise commanders on issues involving a number of areas of law. Depending on the service, these areas may include the law of war, the rules of engagement and their interpretation, and other operational law issues, government contract law, administrative law, labor law, environmental law, international law, claims against the government (such as under the Federal Tort Claims Act), and information law (such as requests for information in the possession of the military under the Freedom of Information Act). Military attorneys also advise individual service members, military retirees, and their families regarding personal civil legal problems they may have, including drafting wills, fending off creditors and reviewing leases.

The U.S. Navy JAG Corps provides full-spectrum legal services that enable naval and joint operations in support of America's national security.

I could go on. It's very hard to believe that JAG is not familiar with Constitutional law as it applies to the military. They do advise Commanders.

Dara: "But it is disingenous of both the left and the media to present the information in the manner they are."

Partisan politics has no place in this. This isn't about politics and finger pointing and what side of the aisle is guilty of what. This is not a case of one side wanting the cities to be 'cleaned up' and other side wanting 'crime' (which is the implication that is being made here). It's about a President characterizing a situation as something it is not (Portland is not war ravaged) and using it as an excuse to 'send in the troops'.

Perhaps you do trust Trump. I don't. I believe trust is to be earned, not freely given. But once he grabs power that he is not lawfully entitled to, he opens the door for any future president to do the same. Who those future presidents will be and how trustworthy they will be is something no one can predict.
