The military is not an enforcer of morality or decency. That is not their purpose. They do not have legal authority to do so. I wouldn't want them to be such an enforcer. Which one of us gets to say with authority whose morality is to be enforced, whose beliefs, whose religion is to be enforced?
Besides, exactly how seriously are the believers in Yahweh anyway? How seriously do they really take his Commandments?
You can't pick and choose what commandments you will follow, and which one you won't:
First Commandment: "You shall have no other gods before me".
What consequences do you propose for those who are not Christian/believers of your god?
"Thou shalt not kill." How many Christians have picked up arms and gone off to war, killing?
"Thou shalt not lie."
Which one of us can claim we have never lied?
My point - the Ten Commandments, religion, god beliefs, etc. has never stopped humans from behaving as they want, Christian or not.
