A person cheats maritally on his/her spouse, asks for forgiveness, spouse forgives. Then cheater repeats his/her infidelities. Only an idiot would forgive repeatedly.
A person embezzles from his/her employer and is found out, and asks for forgiveness. Employer then forgives employee. Then embezzler steals again. Only an idiot would forgive repeatedly.
A thug robs a bank, is caught, convicted, and asks for forgiveness. Court give him/her a suspended sentence, and robbers does it again, and again, and court lets him/her go. Only an idiot would forgive repeatedly. Evidentially, many of our judges are idiots.
If God is trying to run a world according to rational standards, then God would need to be an idiot to forgive repeatedly. ONCE would be a lax standard, and many times would be pure idiocy.
