TSJ's legal team argued, in order, that 1) Title IX 2) bad DIA/university policies
Judge rules that #1 isn't applicable and #2 is warranted. Had TSJs legal team felt like the policies was a strong defense, they would have led with it.
Going forward any athlete accused of any crime really can't be suspended from playing by the University. That's pretty nuts to me. I would also think it opens University up to potential grieveances from former athletes who felt like they didn't get due process either.
To me, this has the optics of outside influence of the judge, be it financial, political, or otherwise.
