The onyx-dipped stilts carried the brute forward, out of his normal range. Never before had he traveled to the Ashen Woodland. So why now? Why did he feel like he was being called here? Were Onai and Jack here? Hecate? His family.. he'd yet to see them after so many months.. or had it been years? He wasn't sure. His mother and father hadn't been around. Cato had survived by himself. He knew they didn't abandon them out of choice though.. as they had been ripped apart from each other. He understood what that was like.

He hoped to see his family again soon. Piercing yellow suns gazed into the dark, hoping to maybe spot one of his loved. He couldn't tell though. Maybe not. Maybe it was best they weren't here. Whatever was going on.. he couldn't count on safety.

Thats when a large crack ripped through air, a searing light causing his fur to stand on end. For that singular moment, all he could feel was fear. Thats when everything faded into darkness..
