Kodlak noticed he scared the female with the way she spun. He quickly rushed out an apology. ”I’m sorry for scaring you, not my intent!” She spoke as she helped him up – ”No problem. I’m Leona; what’s your name?” He spoke again. ”It’s nice to meet you Leona, I’m Kodlak.” His amber eyes watched as Leona attempted to pack some snow around his injury. Despite her efforts to be gentle, he winced. However, he noticed that the snow was a nice numbing agent. ”Goodness, who did this? She spoke as she tended to him. His voice turned gruff, as he looked to the side, embarrassed. ”Pretty sure it was one of the princesses of Tarben. I don’t remember all too clearly…I fainted from blood loss at the time.” Shortly after she appeared to be finished, she spoke again. ”I think we better get out of the cold. That storm makes me uneasy, with us being on a mountain. Do you need help getting down?” He nodded, agreeing with the first part of her words. ”Agreed. We should find shelter. I may need your help, however, if we go back the way that I came from, I should be alright.” His amber eyes scanned the female, on which the snow looked beautiful amongst her fur. Kodlak’s probably looked like the night sky, with his ebony body and the white flakes looking like stars. He led the descent, and started small talk to try and distract him from the pain. ”So…Leona. Where are you from? I believe I saw you on the battlefield and you were sided with Hawthorne, but I haven’t seen you in our lands. So are you from Amberjorne or Dawnshire?” He paused, giving time for her to speak, trying to meet her eyes with his own amber ones. The scales amongst his chest and shoulders felt especially cold in the winter breeze, but he tried to pay no mind to that either. After she spoke, he'd make his statement. ”I’m from Hawthorne. I’m actually one of the sons of Lucaya. It sucks that my one sister had to go to Tarben, but knowing her, she’s probably being feisty as ever. Giving them trouble.” He let out a small chuckle. He hoped their conversation lasted until they reached the bottom of the cliffside. Once they got to the bottom of the mountain, he spoke once again. ”Hey, Leona.” He paused, looking down to the line connecting them two before looking back at her. ”I’m pretty sure this is a soulmate line…what do you want to do about it?” A small blush would rise to his cheeks, that very likely would not have been seen due to the dark coloring of his pelt. He secretly had a yearning to be closer to her, but kept the distance at a respectable three feet and listened attentively for her next words. Actions & Words.
