The lass of blood and storms held back a flush at Kodlak’s words, thinking for a moment before she spoke. “I only want to do what you’re comfortable with, Kodlak,” she said firmly. “No more. If that’s difficult for you, then I’m okay with not doing it; I don’t want to cause you any pain.” She had to admit, children would be nice; but Kodlak was missing a leg. And she wasn’t really sure she was equipped to be a mother yet, anyway. “If just existing as mates is all you can do at the moment, that’s what we’re doing. I don’t want to force you into anything. Besides, little mini mes would be all kinds of overwhelming, and we’d both be so frustrated with them.” She tried for a small smirk. “That said, if we ever do: I warned you.” She scooted a bit closer, offering him the hare’s one remaining front leg. She had pretty much devoured the other one, as well as the whole face and neck.
“No there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do; to make you feel my love.”
