Eve was chasing her daughter, Elli. Elane had suddenly run off, and Evangeline told Orpheus, her son, and her other daughter, Omen, to stay put, before she raced off after Elli.
Elane had never done anything like this, so Eve was sort of at a loss as to why. Her little Columba tiger wasn’t spontaneous, and she wasn’t willful. She was quiet and gentle.
Uzi had left her, abandoned her, and Evangeline was content with that it was a one-time fling. She was doing fine raising her daughters and son alone, in Amberbjorne. She had decided that her children were quite suited to Amberbjorne, although she could be wrong.
Into Firefly Forest Elane led them. How fast she was! Then, ahead, her daughter spun. “Mommy! The bugs are beautiful.” Aha. So this was why Elli had bolted-she loved insects of any type. She was an easily intrigued pup. “Elli. Elane, come back here-” Eve began to call. Then, she wobbled suddenly. She was so tired all of a sudden. Ahead of her, she saw Elane drop. “Elli-”
Then all was black.

“Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be.”
