It had only been Lazarus' words that soothed her after finding out she was a spirit elemental. She could speak to her children, and confirmed that they were indeed on the other side of the veil. They watched over her. It set her at ease, and with help from the witch Artemis was able to find the bodies of her children. With careful help from her horns and her new found friend, she built pyres out of rocks for her children. Marking their graves and keeping them inside of Sabertooth with her. Her mind was able to rest with this all in her mind, though it wasn't easy to see the lifeless remains of her sons and daughter.
They found Zero first, he was the loudest. He had died at least a season before, drowning in the rapids of the river. Kaleidoscope was second, her beautiful daughter. She had fallen from the very cliffs she loved to scale and was nearly frozen solid when found. Lastly, they finally found Mayfire. He was a fiery boy, wanting to bite off more than he could chew. His body was found with a deers horn impaling him through the heart. Though this weakened her spirits to know they were dead, it also made her happy that she could bring them home and lay them to rest. Lazarus was such a great help afterwards too, finding things for her to do to make her day brighter.
As she woke from her den, she played it over in her brain again. Wild raspberries were Kaleidoscopes favorite snack, find five. Find two lavender bushels, they were Mayfires favorite flower because they matched his eyes. Third, find two orange and purple pansies - Zeros favorite flowers. She brought branches and stems all to the burial grounds of her three children, laying them each respectively at their pyres. She sighed as she looked to the three, smiling softly as she laid down on a rocky ledge that jutted from the ground above them. A soft tune hummed from her chest.
