The blinded man felt such a strong wave of emotion for Artemis; she had been through so much. He felt protective, like a new father to his children. Remus knew that Artemis was a truly amazing woman. He didn’t intend to let her suffer anymore.
“Artemis, thank you. I know I’ve already expressed the same truth for you.” He felt warmed by her words, they burrowed down deep in him. “You deserve the world. And there are monsters in it, but you have too strong a heart for them.” He mirrored her soft smile. “Truly, I hope you receive everything in life you need.” The small man held appreciation in his soul for Artemis’ deeds, and sympathy for her experiences. Losing children was hard. Worse yet, he thought, was the betrayal of her mate-his name was truly inadequate. “Justice.” What a fake, a joke. Karma would bite him back one day if it hadn’t already, and Remus half wished he could be the one to deal it out to him. Though he wasn’t one for fighting, so that was where the “half” part came in. Though, he thought if it was to defend Artemis or his family, he would do anything.
"Pain makes you stronger!"
