Bullshit. It's a part of it, but things cut both ways. Your flat out dismissal is unrealistic.Archived Message

Morez has been committed to us forever and was told "this thing is gonna be yours, and Brad Underwood is gonna be your guy."
He gets here, and it's not Brad...it's Tyler dictating everything. Maybe what Tyler says matches up with what Morez was told he was going to be, maybe not. We'll never know.
Chalking it up to "just money" and not looking anything into the way that Brad has structured his staff and delegated power to his underlings in terms of really shaping people's roles...
Sorry Blazer, that's simplistic thinking. There's always something to learn. I truly believe Brad learned not to be a Gene Keady level sideline dickhead from Jaden Epps' response. So he needs to learn here as well.

I've seen nothing from his side suggesting he wants to shoot a lot of threes, or wants the offense to run through him. Nothing definitive on how much money he wanted.
I expect it's largely true that he was told not to shoot jumpers. We hit him on a few pick and rolls, otherwise he earned just about every shot he took by getting offensive rebounds. That was probably the best thing to do for the team, maybe not the best approach if you didn't want him to transfer to Michigan after one year. Given the number of bad shots we took as a team, giving him a chance or two each game would not have been fatal.
His father noted, accurately I think, that after the one jumper he took all season he was benched for 9 or 10 minutes. I expect there was no connection between those two things, but not surprised that his family would see it that way if they were already questioning the way he was used.
Maybe this is all on Morez, his family and his people. But maybe our staff could do a better job of communicating, realizing there are issues with a particular player, and figuring out a way to deal with it that doesn't result in them leaving.
