KJ and Tomi were great in that regard, especially KJ who could have treated his one year like the nuisance of a stopgap needed before he could go pro.
But you’ve got a 22 year old pro coming from another country and having to pretend to be a college student all of a sudden, you just never know how that adjustment will go. But that’s probably where it’s helpful to have a group of guys with similar backgrounds.

He’s not as talented as KJ, and not on NBA radars because of that, but from a pure “next season at Illinois” perspective, a 22 year old Petrovic who’s been playing pro basketball could be better than 18 year old KJ was for us last season. So he won’t get the hype, and therefore we won’t get the hype, but in a weird twist we could *possibly* have upgraded there.
I also could be way wrong on that.
